Co-op horror · 1–4 players

Be in your room by eleven. Or it will call you.

Stay out past 11 PM at the Hollowmere Hotel and the power dies, your real phone rings, and something faceless chases you down four floors to the front doors.

The challenge

Browser horror usually stays inside the browser. We wanted the fear to follow players out of it — a real phone call, a monster that hears you — without ever being careless with their number or their voice.

What we built

Players check in at the front desk with their phone number. On the fourth floor the lights die and their actual phone rings. The microphone is calibrated against their own speaking voice, so a gasp during the chase gives them away. Up to four friends can play together.

Highlights

  • A real phone call mid-game, behind opt-in, an 18+ gate, quiet hours and call limits
  • Microphone loudness measured on the device — never recorded or uploaded
  • A pursuer that crawls across walls and ceilings and ambushes you from ahead
  • Floors checked by a bot that runs every route with the real physics
