01The report

Everything in the report comes from Google Lighthouse, explained in words you can act on.

01

Load time on a real phone

How long your main content takes to appear on a mid-range Android phone over a 4G connection — the way most of your visitors see it, not the way it looks on your office Wi-Fi.

02

What’s slowing it down

Oversized images, heavy scripts, slow fonts and third-party widgets, with how many kilobytes each one wastes.

03

What Google can’t read

Missing titles and descriptions, unreadable links, images without text alternatives, and pages blocked from search.

04

Core Web Vitals

Largest Contentful Paint, layout shift and blocking time — the page-experience signals Google measures on every site.

05

The three fixes that matter

Not a list of 60 warnings. The three changes that would make the biggest difference, in plain English.

06

A PDF you can share

A one-page report emailed to you, ready to forward to whoever looks after your website.

02FAQ

Common questions about the free report and website speed.

Is the website check really free?

Yes. There is no payment and no sign-up. We run it because a slow website is the most common problem we fix, and the report is the easiest way to show it.

How does the speed test work?

We load your page with Google Lighthouse, the same engine behind PageSpeed Insights, simulating a mid-range phone on a 4G network. The scores and timings in your report come straight from that test.

What is a good load time for a website?

Google treats a Largest Contentful Paint under 2.5 seconds as good and over 4 seconds as poor. Many small-business sites we test take 8 to 30 seconds on a phone, usually because of uncompressed images and too many scripts.

Will a faster website rank higher on Google?

Speed is one of Google’s page-experience signals, so it helps, but content and relevance matter more. The bigger effect is on people: visitors leave slow pages before they load, so a faster site turns more of the traffic you already have into enquiries.

Does it work for Shopify, WordPress, Wix or Squarespace sites?

Yes. The check works on any public website. The report notes when a fix is limited by the platform you are on.

Can you fix the problems for me?

Yes, though you don’t have to: the report is written so anyone can act on it. If you would like us to, our Speed & Google fix for an existing site usually takes three to five days.
